I got a lunch invite to go to Bubba Gump Shrimp Company in TriNoma. I was a bit skeptical but I agreed to go since it was a free day for me anyway.

I sent Cookie an sms asking her to come with me and we met at the the venue.

Guess who was there to greet us, the bloggers/guests? It was Forrest Gump of course!

That is actually Steve Weber who is impersonating Forrest Gump.He was entertaining and very friendly. One thing I noticed, he remembers names of the people there, the staff and some of the bloggers.

Lunch was great, with Ceasar Salad (which Cookie and I had a second serving), Mama’s Southern Fried Chicken, Spicy Jambalaya Pasta and shrimp of course whose name I forgot to take note of. Should have written these down, tsk, tsk.

If I have these for lunch everyday, I would surely need some alli for myself.

Hmmm…now I have just realized that I need to get a DVD of that movie and watch it again and have some fun.

I’m sure the food was great since you had second servings.

It looks like you had a wonderful lunch and outing. All of that “southern comfort food” is fattening, but a nice splurge every once in awhile. The photos look great too!

Desert Diva, Southern comfort food is becoming a hit here in the Philippines. It is a bit expensive ( and yes fattening, ha ha) than the usual food served in other restaurants but it is ok when one indulges once in a while :)

Tina, the restaurant franchise is owned I think by Viacom and the actor who plays Forrest Gump has been approved by Paramount. Their first restaurant is located on Long Beach.
