Click here.

Shelved under Pinoy

Unang pagkakataon namin siyang makilala.

I have been reading about the murder of JonBenet Ramsey  last year when I got hold of an old People magazine which featured her and her death.

It saddens me to think that such cruelty and savage act could be committed to a child. Could it be an act of revenge against her parents? I mean, how could that person/s have known how much the girl’s father got as his bonus?

Now after 10 years, they got a suspect for her murder. Click here for the article about the suspect, his arrest and some details about it. I doubt if this was the man who did the heinous crime. My gut feelings still is that someone that they knew did the brutal killing.

Shelved under Bits and Pieces, My Family
Saturday was Trixie’s special day because it was her 11th birthday. We were invited to her Ninong Fritz’s daughter Lyn’s 10th birthday. We went there and the kids had a blast. When we had to leave around 5:30 because we offered a mass for her, she did something that surprised us. She told Lyn’s mother (this was an account by Brian who heard her) that she would have wanted to stay so that she could join the pabitin game and get one of the swords there. I think she even went on to explain that she needs a sword because she has a class presentation wherein her role is that of a Datu’s princess. Well, she got the sword all right. The gold one.I asked her why and how she got the nerve to do what she did, she didn’t know these people well because they live in Chicago, although we are like families in a sense. She said so that we won’t have to buy one and she was sure she would be getting one of those swords during the game, which she won’t be able to, because we had to go. Wow! If it was me at that age, I wouldn’t, couldn’t possibly have done what she did.
