Shelved under Bits and Pieces, My Family

My daughter, you will love her, or not love her guts. She is one gutsy little lady. She is not afraid to speak her mind. Though she has to be reminded always on how to speak her piece properly, one can see that there is a good reason why she said what she said. Sometimes, this behavior is bordering on being pesky. Most of the time she has the urge to tease her younger brother and sister. When told to stop, she will, but not until one of them cries. Image

She loves to play her SIMS collection game. She loves to play online games like Brandy and Mr. Whiskers, Lilo and Stitch and other Disney games. She loves to make up names. She loves to build big and beautiful houses as well as arrange furniture. She loves to draw figures and designs clothes for the figures. She is not fashionable though and even if she is in her tweens, she is content with her shorts and shirt ternos. In fact, she is considering taking up fashion design like tita Lek OR interior design, like her tito Berlin. Though she is also interested in becoming a veterinarian.

She loves dogs. Mostly all kinds of breeds but if I am not mistaken, she loves Siberian Husky and other big dogs better than toy dogs. She hates cats.

She tends to say or do some of the most irritating things to say or do. When dining out, she will plead that we go home asap as soon as she has finished eating her food even if some of us haven’t finished up yet. She has an irritating way of asking where we are going and why we have to go where we will go, whenever we take them out during weekends or when there is free time. Even when we don’t have to wake up early during days when I am not very busy, she wakes up earlier than everybody else and would wake me up to ask for food when in fact, she has access to the cereals, bread and fillings and can make her own milk drink. Whenever she stays overnight with my mother-in-law, she tends to call us up as early as 6am to ask what time we will pick her up. But when we arrive where she is, she doesn’t even appear to be pleased seeing us.

Shelved under Bits and Pieces, My Family

My son just loves Initial D.

Click here for the wikipedia definition.

Anime is anime. It is basically adult cartoons and shows some “scenes not suitable for young audiences so parental guidance is adviced.” He doesn’t look or he fast forwards scenes when girls appear on the scene, as per my instructions. The girls there are sometimes wearing miniskirts and they are the subjects of affection of the boys so there are some mild flirtations which my 4.10 year old son is not supposed to see.

He so loves the series that he has memorized the different stages in the series. He calls the cars by their engine names. Whenever he sees a Toyota Corolla just like ours, he calls it AE101.

Whenever he sees those Honda Civic Hatchback cars, he calls them EG-6.

He calls the Mazda RX-7, FD3S or FC3S.

He calls the Trueno AE86 or AE atchuk (not sure though if this is how it is spelled or pronounced).

SW20? That’s Toyota MR2.

He calls Nissan 240  Nissan Sil-eighty.

S13? That’s Nissan Silvia.

R32? That’s Nissan Skyline.

It’s amazing how he knows how to identify these cars but then, maybe not because he watches the DVD almost daily. Me? How do I know these terms? He is beside me and telling me the details.

By the way, he has a collection of these cars. Tomica brand. Jada Toys brand. Import Tuner brand. He also has folders of Google images of these cars and more (Need For Speed Hot Pursuit2 and Underground2) which he copied from the net and pasted in the folders. By himself.

He can’t wait for his July birthday to arrive so he can open his FD3S car. After he eats a slice of our birthday cake. His ideas, not mine.

Our family just loves to spend time in UP Diliman. There are lots of places there for the children to walk and run around. We can fly our (store-bought) kites. They ride their bikes there. We bring food and drinks and eat under the shade of the trees. We used to go there at a very early time on Sunday mornings to walk and ride bikes but it somehow changed to around latish pm. We can eat tapsilog in our favorite resto at the shopping center. After the tapsilog, the kids can have their favorite Fruits in Ice Cream flavor. We can hear mass witout having to worry that the little ones will fall down on concrete ground because they can walk around in the church’s grassy grounds.Last time we were there? Why, yesterday of course! We heard the anticipated mass at 6pm.
