As I have written in this post, I got a small rice cooker for our daily “base” to use just in case we can’t go home earlier than the usual schedule. It would be cheaper if we just cook our own food than buy fast-food, which is not only unhealthy but off the budget as well.

Along with this small appliance, I also made a small stash of “emergency food” like canned tuna, biscuits (which they don’t eat!), a jar of peanut butter, powdered milk and rice. For the viand, I have a little stashed in my MIL’s freezer.

I also plan to get other small appliances that can be used for cooking one at a time. My children jokingly told me that I should consider getting appliance package deals so that we can even wash our clothes, refrigerate food to be cooked or bake cookies, 😀

I told them in time, we probably will. For now, we will concentrate on what we need first before getting the bigger things that we already have at home.
