We are homeschoolers no more.

Below is my daughter during the first day of school (June 14). This is my youngest daughter who has an affinity to swords, toy guns, shields, steiner binoculars, dragons and her newest craze Gormiti. They don’t wear their gala uniform these days (and I don’t need to iron these, yey!) because they wear jeans for some protection against dengue mosquitoes.

First Day of School

When I asked if they want to go back to homeschooling, they said: “Na-ah” 😀

I think swimming, scouting, choir, new friends and dramatics are just too good to pass up, thank you very much. I think that says a lot about me being a homeschool super strict mom 😀

Great post for the theme. I love the photograph in this post.

Thanks for visiting mine and regarding your comment about the Kevin C movie, the ball game scenes for the movie Bull Durham were filmed two blocks away from the school in my post. They did a lot of filming in Durham for that movie.

Home schooling sounds great and the teaching can be inspirational yet it can never supply the socialisation which a school can. Much more fun and much more choice of friends. (I speak as one who had both as a child)
