Every Saturday, participants post photos based on a theme. The theme for this Saturday, April 5, 2008 is GLASS.

I have several photos /interpretations (as usual) of glass for this week’s theme:

img_8511b.jpg

Stained glass window in the church where my daughter had her Confirmation Rites last November.

img_8354b.jpg

Model motorbikes in a glass case from a Motorcycle Show that we went to last year.

img_7800b.jpg

Where is the glass? Not manufactured yet. There is sand, as far as the eyes can see. Sand is used to manufacture glass.

By the way you may feel tired and thirsty since it is summer where we are :)

Here is a glass of watermelon shake for you:

Julie!! I learned something from you today!! I’ve always thought glass was made with some sort of fibre glass. NOW! I know it’s made from sand :) Thanks for sharing the information. I’m so dumb….

OH! I wish I can grab the watermelon juice. Delicious! Oh! glass is made of sand. That beach. Nice photo and great idea. If there is a glass blowing scene, that’s another interesting lesson, teacher Julie! :)

Very clever with the sand. The Philippines certainly have a lot of very scenic potential glass sources.

Thanks for stopping by the creek. I’m not sure which GB surgery I will have. The surgeon is hoping for the laparascopy, but since I have had 2 previous abdominal surgeries, he told me to be prepared for the open one. Thanks for your prayers, dear friend….and have a wonderful weekend.
