Bakunado ka na ba? Have  you been vaccinated?

Yes, we were given the flu vaccine last Saturday. These vaccines were made possible by Sanofi Pasteur in cooperation with Nuffnang Philippines.

Together with my three children, we went to Tiendesitas for the event so that we can be better equipped with fighting flu :)

Mom blogger friends JP (we just met that day), iMom (fellow FIlipinoMomBlog), Salen, and LadyCess (another fellow FIlipinoMomBlog member) and yes, we had fun talking and talking! Congratulations iMom and Patchy for winning the game :D

Mussels are one of the favorite things to have for lunch especially during weekends when I have time to go to the nearby wet market. Everyone but our son enjoys this whether baked or cooked/boiled with lemongrass.

In short, we had mussels again last weekend and since we weren’t able to have the baked ones for dinner, my daughter Trix asked me to just prepare these for her lunch in school.

These were baked with garlic, butter and finely chopped parsley. Was supposed to make the mix but since we still have a small tub of this from a bakery, that was what I used.

The younger children and I had a different lunch although these were not all eaten because we had free lunch at work and with KFC fried chcken, they didn’t even look at our viand. Good thing I did not take even a single photo of it :D

Anyway, for snacks, we had the Banana-Oats-Chocolate chips bars which I featured in my other blog. Should have been muffins but we ran out of muffin liners.

My eldest daughter’s lunch for Monday consisted of Creamy Dory Fish Fillet, queso de bola (cheese ball) slices, bread, water and orange juice. She was supposed to buy rice from the canteen. Well, she was supposed to have her lunch there too but that didn’t happen.

Anyway, here’s the Fried Creamy Dory Fillet she had in her lunch box with a recipe here.

I had to photoshop this photo a bit because I had some difficulties taking the photo at 5:15am, was still groggy from sleep.

Hats, hats, hats! These can be seen everywhere and we can see these with Photo Hunter participants because HATS is the theme for this week.

Oh, by the way, I went hat less in my other entry.

Hard hats are for safety measures.

Bob the Builder wearing his yellow hard hat with  Handy Manny, thanks to Yohan, Rachel‘s cute boy  who identified him for me :D

This cake was from a party hosted by a party/events organizer. The party had a Disney theme and there were lots of standees made of wood as well as colorful cardboard displays. Click here for more photos of the party.

Another photo for fancy hats would be a Trick or Treat event!

Yesterday was spent at home with three sick children so a lunchbox was out of the day plan.

Today being a day for FilipinoMomBlog.com’s Tuesday LunchBox Meme, I thought about featuring the food I prepared for the Field Trip we had at the La Mesa Eco Park last November.

Below was what we brought for the field trip.

Tuna sandwiches, sliced apples, bananas, sliced ensaymada and mamon. For drinks we had milk, Gatorade and water.

We did not bring lunch food because we did not stay for lunch since we still have another school affair to go to.

The FilipinoMomBlog.com‘s Lunchbox Meme is back!

For the first school day of 2009, our packed lunch (even if I was not able to go to work) consisted of left-over pork or lechon from post-New Year lunch we had with the inlaws, cooked ala-lechon kawali (recipe here).

This is my eldest daughter’s Monday food: lechon kawali, Rosquillos biscuits from the Visayas and peanut butter sandwiches.
