Shelved under Health, Interesting tidbits

I think summer is almost over this side of the planet but with the scorching heat, who can say it is? Why worry about skin care or eczema natural treatment or skin rash or even head lice when it does not rank high in other people’s priorities especially those who were hit hard by the El Nino phenomenon, you ask?

For children especially, skin care is important especially during the summer period due to exposure to the sun. Even on on cloudy days, they still need protection. Here are a few tips on how to take care of your children’s skin especially during summer:

  • Avoid exposure to sun that will cause sunburn and that means being in the shade from 10am till 4pm
  • Have the children wear protective clothing like hats, clothes with bright colors and if possible, avoid white cotton shirts.
  • Use sunblock especially there is direct exposure to the sun
  • Lip balms offer protection for the lips
  • Bring an umbrella or a wide hat for some protection
  • Drink lots of water

What was it, “an ounce of prevention is better than a pound of cure”? Skin cancerĀ  in children is on the rise and you might not want that on your children.

I’m not sure but I think everything that exists have a half.

That same thought goes to people who we really know inside out. Even the so-called “full moon” is actually just half of the moon :D , even truths can be half-lies and lies, half-truths. Pies can be half-baked too and even coins have two sides, but I digress.

Anyway, here is a half of a pair that would surely help one have a scrumptious experience:

Have a great weekend!

I will probably not understand the technical details of how the electric company explains 50% increase in most of the households’ electric bill, but this I know for sure: we have been prudent in our usage of things that makes the disc in the electric meter run.

Why, everyone is becoming more aware of their carbon footprint and would probably qualify for an energy auditor certification, lol!

Last month’s bill jumped a 50% increase while the current bill had 25% less. Still, I can’t say I am satisfied that the measures we took upon to lessen the consumption contributed to this decrease. Had we not done these, would we still have the same bill as last month’s? We use the same electrical appliances, no more, no less.

Interesting enough, more than 42,000 people signed up in the Protest against MERALCO electricity price hike in Facebook.

Yeah, price hike amidst daily power outages.

Shelved under My Thoughts

I’m swamped with work: household chores, teaching schedule, writing tasks and so much more. I haven’t been actively updating this blog, I know.

The aching arms (or should I say bones) should be brought to a bone doctor (I’ll have to go too, hehe) because these has been contributing much to the fatigue I am experiencing. I can’t even reach my back for a scratch when I need to because my arms ache.

I probably don’t have much use with weight-loss products to shed some excess poundage. Or it could be the opposite.

Sigh. I just want to go back to bed and sleep a deep sleep so I can wake up refreshed and not tired.

I know I owe several people replies to their emails/queries regarding their children’s situation. I hope you understand.

I know I need to take things slow and take time to smell the flowers.

I know I need to take care of myself better.

So much ranting, I think I gotta stop now. Sorry.
