Retirement to some people is as appealing as having a vacation while to others it is not something to look forward to. Claiming disability appeals need not happen upon retirement though and that is another aspect to be considered in employment-related topics.

Here in this pathetic corner of the world, people who dedicated their lives working for the government are having difficult  times claiming their benefits from the institution where they gave percentages of their income to.

Yeah, talk about blaming the hardware system when all else fails. Tsk, tsk.

Anyway, retirement here in this country does not seem to be an option to some people. I know of one person who retired but had to go back to work since her retirement benefits are not enough to shoulder her medical expenses.

On the other hand, reading about AnnaManila’s post about retirement makes one think of happy thoughts and chocolate hugs and loads of free time to do what one loves to do.

What about you? Have you thought about the time when you finally apply for that discount card otherwise known as Senior Citizen card?

Retirement gratuities are really meager for most retireees here, especially if their families are still wholly or partly dependent on them. So they do well to start a second career .. a business, a consultancy, free-lancing.

Wow, I have a free plug pala here. Thanks Teacher Julie..
