Everyone is in a hurry. Where to? For what? To do what?
We have machines and gadgets that are supposed to make doing things easier but still there is NEVER enough time.
We even have people doing things for us like cooking, doing the laundry, cleaning the house and even taking care of the children because we are simply too busy to do these things. In this household, we have a little help for the second and third chores, but the rest of the tasks needed to runĀ a home and a family fall on my lap. If I don’t get a little help I might not be able to do the more important things for me.
People scurrying here and there, catching up with so many things at the same time. Multi-tasking they say, and I think, “no kidding.” Who am I kidding, I tell this to myself too.
Go slow.
Stop and smell the roses.
Savor life’s little victories.
Be thankful.
And remember, slow cooked food tastes better than fast food
(Ok, I just made that up but it does ring true, right? teehee!)
