Seeing billboards as tall as not-so-high buildings is not an uncommon sight in this country. To say that lives have been lost because of these kind of advertisements is not an exaggeration.

On the way to our parents’ home for my father’s birthday, I thought I was seeing some buildings on the side of the expressway but upon closer inspection, these are in fact, billboards

There, photo is a bit hazy, my apologies. But I still think these are dangerous.

Agree with you Julie. Besides being dangerous I think they ruin the countryside too. I don’t like seeing billboards everywhere and especially not along the highway!

after typhoon melenio, and there were victims of these billboards, it was only then when the gov’t implemented the law. hayyy…they’re the ones i watch for when i drive under bad weather.

I so agree!!!! The ones in EDSA are worse…not only are they so huge and colorful, some even play commercials. The one by Guadalupe is especially bright so I get silaw every time I pass it

I don’t know why our government allowed such thing knowing that hurricanes are so common in our country, billboards are not helping but more on problems during hurricane season.

I noticed those tall, tall billboards, too when we last visited RP and hubby and I thought they were quite hazardous. They even make the place more cramped than it already is.
