Whenever we go to a Red Ribbon branch either to dine or buy take out food, I know exactly what my eldest daughter would order: Red Ribbon’s Salisbury Steak.

It is my favorite too so its not a surprise that she prefers to have the dish.

We love to have this with coffee crunch cake or choco mousse cake slice and a glass of ice-cold soft drinks. Ahhh… pure bliss!

But wait, there is something new! Red Ribbon’s Salisbury Steak just got better!

Yes! It is now made of 100% beef and topped with a rich and creamy mushroom gravy sauce. The steak is thicker too and the taste more scrumptious. When I took a bite of the steak, it sure tasted different, better and tastier with more enhanced flavors.

The mashed potato as a side dish has seen some improvement and too is now infused with herbs that make it tastier and creamier. Its the perfect side dish for this Salisbury Steak.

The buttered corn and carrots are still there, which adds more nutritional value to the meal.

When I told my daughter (who is vacationing with her siblings and cousins) about having experienced Red Ribbon’s new and improved 100% All-Beef Salisbury Steak, she said she wants to be taken to the nearest branch to taste it when she gets back :D

I bring my two younger children with me when I go to work for several reasons.

One of these is because we have no live in helper who could look after them when I go to work.

Another reason is because we have decided to home school them for another round of other reasons.

One time, in my recently former workplace, as I was teaching a student, my son, together with his friend who used to go to the Work Behavior group that they attend with Teacher J, went into my room. They were a little listless because they are waiting for the clock to strike four which is the time they start their group.

Son went near me and hugged me. He also spontaneously kissed my cheeks.

His friend’s facial expression, I was not able to see completely because he turned his face away and looked disgusted, more like ashamed with what my son did.

I asked him “Why are you looking like that? Don’t you kiss and hug your mom?”

He replied, “I do but not when there are other people around.”

I was shocked. And hurt.

Maybe because I am used to having my children around me day in and day out, most of the time. I think I would be having a hard time accepting that they wouldn’t want me to kiss or hug them or vice versa when there are other people around.

Sure, there would come a time when they would refuse to do just that, afraid to be embarrassed in front of their peers, though it is just probably a stage.

What if my children would think those thoughts?

Yep, window shopping and going to sale events, just like comments, should be moderated :D

I find it like so because window shopping makes people think that whenever they see an object which they don’t actually need, upon closer inspection, they feel that this is one object that they really need to have.

Suddenly, this object becomes a must-have whereas it was not even an idea before it was seen, held, scrutinized and with some buttons even pushed.

Last week, hubby and I saw a tv shopping show which was featuring an exercising machine that helps the person using it do crunches, thereby making toning the abs look easy.

I was excited when I saw it and because we were about to go to work when that was shown, we didn’t get to the part where they will announce how much it costs. It was a bit forgotten.

Until I killed time by doing window shopping later that afternoon.

One of the advantages of homeschooling my children is that we (my husband and I) get to go with them on field trips.

My other entry for walking is here.

Below is a photo my husband and my two homeschooling children taking a walk in the woods with other families who also home school. We do love going for walks when we have time.

The girl in light pink shirt is my youngest daughter. Beside her are my son and husband walking hand-in-hand on the hiking trail.
