Is there such thing as natural appetite suppressant?

I remember my aunt who had a box of sugar-free candies that she used to keep in the fridge when she lived with us for some time. She is a little heavily built and she had done a lot of things to reduce her weight. And that box of candies were a part of all these things.

How?

She gets to chew a candy when she feels hungry. Sometimes I see her drink a glass of water before mealtime to curb her hunger pangs. I also see her jogging in place every morning as her way to ther day.

She did lose some weight but gained these back when she got married and had children.

And me? I love the candies which I occasionally asked to taste ;)

Looking back, I think she only said these were for keeping the weight off, so I would not ask for the candies every now and then :D
