The evening mass we go to during Sundays was almost full-packed last night despite the heat. The all-men choir that sings on the mezzanine is lively. I saw a lot of people lighting votive candles. The priest talked about two things.

Last night’s church homily first discussed a bit the video scandal that rocked the country.

The homily also focused on the lack of priests in the country. Yes, this is true, even if there are a lot of young menĀ  who want to be priests, particularly those who come from the province, the number is really dwindling down.

I am not an RC but I a have an RC family. I have known the RC and the multitude of problems it deals with because I have been schooled the RC way from Kindergarten till college.

I know there are so many problems that the churches, not just RC in particular, are going through.

I seriously think that it is the church that needs prayers now and it won’t hurt to pray for the church instead of focusing on praying for what we want.
