One of the things we can do to help preserve Mother Earth is to make little efforts to achieve just that. So it saddened me to see this scene below that I just had to take a photo:

I sharpened  through Photoshop the part where the disposable cup is located as an emphasis.

This place is free for joggers and bikers to go to. I can not understand why some people do not seem to respect that fact and at least try to reciprocate by doing something good for the place.

Little steps in doing something for Mother Nature who gives us so much is a responsibility we should all observe.

I think you are talking about recycling plastic. If so, then we are on the same wavelength. Come and check my entry.

Happy weekend.

Great post for the theme Julie. I also don’t understand why people won’t take care of places which are there for everyone to use. Hope you have a great weekend.

It take just a second to put your plastic (and other garbage) in a receptacle… Why people don’t is beyond me. Luckily, more and more kids are getting the message. Hopefully, they don’t get discouraged by the adults around them who don’t care….

Mine is up…

Some people really love to put their trash anywhere. Hubby is not like that if he can get a trash he will throw it. heheh Good choice for the theme. Happy weekend. TC mine is ready too.

Always a timely message, Julie – What’s worse is, the trash barrel is right there! Some people just think that others will clean up after them. Or maybe they just don’t think. Good post!

A great use of them for parties!! Hence no washing up :P

Oh, you´re so right. It would be easy to grab it and put it in the garbage can. But most people do not think like we do. Sad but true.

Wish you a great weekend.

There is a state park near me where I love to walk. It’s the same there. I find little bits of trash on the trails that would be so easy to bring out and just throw away. (which I do)

Great reminder, and nice choice for this week’s theme.

That is one of the problems with plastic – though it is disposable, far too many people are careless with use and thoughtless when they are through.

Hope you are having a delightful weekend, Julie.

That is very sad, but a great find. I always think stuff like that also…. Why… We have a construction site next to our house and it is so annoying all of the trash those workers leave…

Julie, we see the same thing over here. Especially early Sunday morning around a place starting with a Mc. It is taken care of by Mc but if everyone did take his/her responsibility that wouldn’t be necessary!

Personally, I wouldn’t bring a cup with me in the first place – though maybe a water bottle. And I’d never leave it behind. I get way too much mileage out of my plastic stuff for one thing, as well as not wanting to litter.

This is a sad comment on modern life. Throw-away plastic can be found in most of the loveliest places.

this is in UP, right?

it is discipline that has been missing these days. the educated ones, though how educated they are miss the point of how important it is to care and to be disciplined.

It’s really sad how some people can be so irresponsible and insensitive.
