I wanted to feature something that is naturally striped for this week’s STRIPES theme on Photo Hunt.

I have another entry that asks whether you see stripes or creases ;)

Below is a flower whose name currently slips my mind:

Help, anyone, who can name this striped beauty?

UPDATE (April 5, 10:54am) Tiger Lily? Stargazer? Amaryllis? Will the real name stand up please? :D

I could have gone wordless since we are undergoing a lot of stress right now but as I have said in my previous PH post on yellow which I will “say” again, flowers make  our moods lighter and we feel happier too.

I hope I will feel that today :)

That is a really good take on the theme. I thought this week’s theme was pretty straightforward, but I was wrong as evidenced by the many varied takes players have on the theme. Yours is one of the prettiest take.

It’s a beautiful photo. Is it a lily of some kind? I hope the stress eases up soon. :)

Lovely photo Julie. Could it be an amaryllis? Big bulb with long flower stalk first, followed by leaves. Best wishes for your problems Julie and have a happy weekend.

I love the smell of lilies. I have tried growing them but every time get those hideous beetles that infest them.
