“It is hot, I want to go swimming! It is hot, I want to go swimming!”

That is probably a chant that almost everyone who lives in this side of the planet seems to be saying.

The heat IS oppressive, yes, and aside from air conditioned malls rooms or eating ice cream, heading off to the nearest (body of) water is one of the most satisfying things to do.

So what are some of the things that need to be done in dealing with the heat?

  • Hydrate with water
  • Wear loose and cool clothes
  • If one needs to exercise outdoors, do early in the morning or late in the afternoon.
  • Be sure to not let perspiration dry up on the back
  • Apply creams or lotion with sun protection
  • Avoid swimming between 10am to 2pm
  • Wear eye shades to protect the eyes from glare

I am sure, pool supplies are very much in demand these days.

Thanks for the tips. The rainy weather these past few days have helped ease the summer heat.

I wish these places are near and not expensive :(

Ironic we are an archipelago but the beaches seem to be unreachable to a lot of us
