SPACE is the theme for Photo Hunter this week.

Living in the city, wide open space is a welcome treat for us (my other PH entry).

We all need space, that is certain.

Even the children that I work with, we teach them about personal space, about putting a fair distance between them and the person(s) they are with as well as physical space between them and others who might take advantage of them.

Personal space gives us room to breathe and to assess the situation we are currently in.

But if space is lacking like the photo below and there is barely an inch to maneuver,

I can’t imagine how boxed in the man feels and I hope those who ride on motorcycles would be careful because the incidence of accidents involving motorcycles is alarming, especially here in Asia.

This road is a part of my commute when I go to another workplace where I work part-time (thank Heavens!) and where travel time is sometimes more than two hours going to work and back.

Agree with you on that. No space to maneuver — that’s how bad our traffic is.

Great entry Julie! I also value my personal space.

That’s a good capture. I have heard about many motorcycle accidents. I do hope that people who ride them will prioritize their safety by wearing proper gear and be extra careful on the road.

I should say a series of 19 post

Great take on the theme. I’d be worried no matter what I was driving, if I was stuck in traffic like that.

Good shot for the theme and it shows how precious space can be when limited. I hate traffic and the lack of space. Hope you have a great weekend.

Great take on the space theme. Yes I would be feeling very claustrophobic if it was me. Cool points.

Julie, so far traffic is not that bad where I live, although the cities in NC have more traffic than I want to drive in… I fear for that person on the motor cycle… that space is just too tight… Great Photo for the theme this week!

No better way of dealing with traffic than two wheels. If you have to, that is.

Yes, that motorcycle shouldn’t be in there. Yes, I brave that kind of traffic five times a week going to work. Yes, we all need personal space.

Happy weekend, Julie!

A common scene on the road. But still makes our stomach squirm. A son wanted a motorcycle and asked if I could help with the dp. No way!

You’re really amazing with the cam, TJ!

It would be hard for me to live in a big city because of the space thing, I’m so used to the burbs. Although we have friends who moved up north and they get freaked out coming here now by the traffic. It’s all relative to what you are used to:)

Fantastic entry Julie!! It makes me very grateful that I live way out in the country even if I have a lousy internet connection some times.

Great take Teacher Julie.

Motorists are at higher risks… I often visualize their feet getting rolled over by another motorist when I see them jammed like this at traffic jams. OOUCH!
