The theme for this week’s Photo Hunter is NAUTICAL.

My other entry is a scale model of the USS Nimitz CVN-68.

For this entry, I have decided to re-post a photo of my two younger homeschooling children playing with paper boats that I have taken last year. This activity was for a Science concept on water.

This week we are discussing about the different water formations and looking at photos of the prominent water forms around the world.

Anyway, here is the photo:

There you go. I hope these paper boats are qualified for nautical :)

If not, here is another photo taken by my husband from a passenger ship:

I haven’t been on a cruise yet or have ever been a passenger in a passenger ship. The closest I can say about riding in anything nautical would be on a catamaran for a 2 hour ride and back.

And aboard a US naval ship docked in the US Naval Facility where my father used to work. No photos allowed then.

I don’t even know if I have “sea legs” :D

Do you have sea legs?

In answer to your question: don’t think I have sea-legs. Rather, am most definitely a landlubber!

The first picture is a very creative take on the theme, and I like the playfulness of it. My PhotoHunt is not quite as imaginitive.

Julie!! For some reason I’ve had difficulty finding your blog. So glad I finally did!

LOVE the photo of your children. Love it!

Despite my very nautical family – I do not have sea legs…or I suppose I could ssay that I don’t have a sea stomach! =)

Hope your valentines day was perfectly delightful, dear one.

I love that photo of the kids blowing on the paper boats. We also did a similar activity at Yohan’s school during Science week.

I wasn’t able to participate on this one. I’ll make it up on the next PH.

hi Julie, sorry, haven’t been visiting your blog and others for some time.

that paper boat suits the theme Nautical alright. i used to play paper boat when i was little in the ditch right after every hard rain. it was fun.

i am scared of water because i almost got drowned and every time i don’t feel the bottom of the water, i panicked.

Nowadays when children play paper boats on water puddles (or even canals) parents are afraid they might get dengue fever :(
