Every Saturday, participants post photos based on a theme. The theme for this Saturday is LAZY.

Lazy. Sometimes I am that. I admit, especially when I am having fun in front of the computer, I forget that I have things to do. But before you think of me as a five star sloth, let me just make it clear that I do what I have to do first: cook our food, clean a bit here and a bit there, home school the kids and manage the household. These happens when we just stay at home and not go to work.

When I have to go to work, I don’t even go online because I am too bushed to do that.

Anyway, here in my other blog, I have featured honey bee which is definitely NOT lazy.

Ants are hardworking species. A lot, I mean, a whole lotta things can be learned from these species, especially by those who are lazy need to be inspired to work hard.

When I am too lazy to cook, we head off to the nearby commercial hub to grab a bite.

Or have food delivered. BUT, I do not do this when the weather is bad for I don’t want the motorcycle-riding delivery guy to have an accident because I am too lazy to cook for my family.

Great post for lazy and so considerate of the delivery guy! :-)

Happy Weekend.

Sometimes you just have to put your fet up and let others do the cooking. It’s good not to do so in bad weather though. Happy weekend

Great post Julie. It is amazing to think about how hard insects have to work, especially considering there size. I can’t remember stats I’ve read about how much ants carry respective to their body weight but I do remember it amazed me. I guess you could say I am lazy for not looking it up. Well thanks to google I just did before finishing this comment and wiki answers says that some ants carry 10 to 20 times their body weight. WOAH. I know honey bees also work very hard. Sounds to me like you work very hard too! We all need some lazy times. Happy weekend, Carver

That food sure looks yummy!! I too have times were I’m way to lazy to cook. You are so nice thinking about the delivery person’s safety :)

I’m surprised you don’t have a maid. Probably because all my Filipino friends have maids, I thought you have one too. :)

Lucky I get help from my kids when I get lazy.

11 Oct, 2008 @ 9:27 am

Hi Julie. Great choices for the theme.I admire how some insects dedicate their whole lives to support the colony.

We’re spending the day at home. Jules is feeling better so he’ll be cooking this weekend.

Take care.

Now I feel guilty hehe… I’m most laziest during a typhoon. Love your concept here… the contrast between laziness and the hard work. :)

11 Oct, 2008 @ 10:22 am

Lots of different ways to be lazy I think.

11 Oct, 2008 @ 11:10 am

You’re right. I could be the laziest guy when sitting in front of my computer and forget about everything that I need to do :D

Nice theme, and the delivery surely looks tasty. :)

Enjoy the lazy weekend.

Good post Julie. I don’t think anyone could accuse you of being lazy and you certainly are considerate to the delivery man. I hope it doesn’t rain very often else he would lose his job if everyone was like you. Have a good weekend Julie.

This is a very creative take on the theme. I think you have earned the right to be lazy whenever you need to be. Love the contrast with the insect kingdom. And the delivery guy owes you a big thanks!

What a strange-looking ant! Here in New York, they are thick and black, or they are black and have a red center. I hear ya about the computer and chores…

I did Photo Hunters today, too! If you have time, pay me a visit and leave your link. :)

ECL, we haven’t had a maid for years. This has been good in a way that the children are able to look after themselves. Tiring of course, but we just have to live with this arrangement.
