One of the most enjoyable experiences for women (and men too) would be shopping. For some, shopping, whether getting designer shoes that will go with prom dresses or maybe even plus size dresses for others,  is a way to de-stress one’s self from the different stresses caused by many factors.

As if the stress goes away when the credit card bills arrive, huh? But that is altogether a different thought.

So how should one shop to avoid being more stressed than ever? Here are some tips:

  • When shopping for clothes, one should have an idea of what to buy and where to buy a particular design.
  • Take a look at what you have in your closet before embarking on a shopping trip.
  • Take note of what you can realistically spend to avoid getting your credit card maximizing its credit limit which you can’t possibly pay.
  • If you can pay in cash, then do so. At least, you can take control of the spending.
  • Dress comfortably and wear comfortable shoes, especially if you need to walk a ways in finding that perfect fit.
  • Eat before venturing into the mall or stores.
  • Be where you want to shop early.
  • Use a three way mirror, if there are, to be able to see if the clothes fit you properly.
  • Do not be afraid to ask help form the salesperson who may give you tips about the new trends and the best buys. She can also tell you about upcoming sales.
  • Remember that shopping for clothes should also be considered as an investment. You don’t just buy because you have the money. You also buy for quality that will last for a few years.
  • If you found a perfect fit, whether these are pants or a shirt, you can get this in multiples or in different colors. Who knows, you may not get a perfect fit in your next shopping adventure.

I write these as if I am a certified shopaholic, truth is my clothes are not even updated . I am not really fond of shopping, I’d rather go grocery shopping than shop for clothes.

What about you?
