Shelved under Information, Just For Fun

Music is one of the things that we enjoy as a family. My husband is an excellent piano player. I have two self-taught piano player daughters. My eldest daughter can play the flute and the violin.

Whenever we are home, music plays in one corner of the house. More often it is jazz music or classical music. I want to try different varieties of music for my children to listen to, like classical music, which by the way we listen to, or maybe songs by Country Music Artists while singing along Country Music Lyrics, or maybe alternative music which the artists play for enjoyment and as an expression of their being artists. Being a fan of rock and new wave when i was younger, I must say my taste have evolved to jazz and classical, influenced by my husband. Of course I still enjoy listening to the music I used to listen to before. But I am open to listen to new artists too.

Wow, that is one musical family you got there. And two self-taught piano players. That’s quite impressive. :) So julie, do you also play any musical instruments?

Niceheart, my youngest daughter who is 5 plays the Lupang Hinirang and Ama Namin over and over on the piano :D

Most students these days can play the flute, I think its a part of the schools’ curriculum.

I used to play the piano when I was in HS but I wasn’t able to follow through so I lost the passion. Hubby can play songs he doesn’t know when one sings these for him. He can even tell what part of the song the singing person hit a wrong note :D
