Several years ago, my paternal grand aunt was hospitalized when she slipped on the bathroom floor while she was taking her bath. In the hospital, she was operated on and something metallic was placed on her fractured hip bone. Bathrooms are really a place where accidents happen, especially to the elderly who has a poor sense of balance and slower reflexes. If only walk in tubs were installed in her bathroom, I am sure she wouldn’t have had to suffer the pain that she went through.
It was June last year when she passed away due to old age and a myriad of aches and pains made worse by the injury she suffered before. We had a good weather despite June being a month of rains when she was laid to her final resting place, near her late husband who himself passed away many years ago. It was a very lonely feeling to go back to her house a few days after that day, empty and dark but we were glad then for we know she is where she wants to be, with Lolo in heaven.
