Traversing the roads here in Mega Manila is very dangerous. If truth be told, Filipino drivers would probably among those drivers the world over who get into accidents, engage in road rage, curtail a life due to parking space and even engage in brawls due to accidents-that-almost-happened-but-did-not. We are a fun-loving and gentle people but we seem to change when we are on the road during rush hours.

Traveling along the major thoroughfare a few times a week never fails to make me nervous. And agitated. And afraid. Why? Early morning rush hour as well as early evening rush hour are both very vulnerable times because everyone is on the road trying to get to work on time or trying to go home after a hard day of work.

There are incidences like this one:

We see this always during rush hour:

Yes, it is really a good move to get car insurance, you know, just in case. But of course, it is still better to drive safely and be on the safe side.

Or maybe never leave home and not go to work ;)

i would like to believe i’m not vulnerable to road rage. kasi kahit kina-cut na ako, di ko pa binubusinahan e =D nagagalit ako, pero i shrug my shoulders and just let them pass. pag ako naman ang mali, i really make an effort to wave a hand to acknowledge my mistake. bait ako =)

that is why everyone should be educated, my husband keeps giving tips to my sons–they have been driving for a while now, but still, they need to be educated continously.

Ay, Cess mabait ka nga.

Me, I don’t think I would be able to learn to drive, what with the way other drivers are behaving on the road. Kakapikon most of the time, especially the PUV.

Oh yes, discipline and education are both very important for the drivers to be able to drive safely.

I am not sure if I could learn how to drive, even if one drives on the safe side but if others are not that disciplined on the road, I would still feel unsafe.

Happy Father’s day po to Daddy Alan :)
