Today is June 15, 2008. Aside from Father’s Day and probably several weddings being celebrated this day in June, today is one event being looked forward to by golf enthusiasts. The reason why golf enthusiasts are excited is because of the opening of the US Open which is a gathering of illustrious golf players to win the coveted title.

Why the sudden interest in golf? I have been hooked playing a golf game in my mobile phone. I have been thinking of getting a taste of the game. My son Julian and I have been scouring sports stores looking for golf clubs like the Cobra golf clubs and other golf accessories but we haven’t made a move to get anything yet. First we have to have a big budget. Second, where would we play? We don’t have a golf course where we belong too and that in itself is really way beyond our means. To both the two mentioned above, we still have a long way to go to achieve the means to be able to afford playing the game.

For now, we just have to be content with our mobile game. Who knows, one day, we would be able to experience the real thing.
