Every Saturday, participants post photos based on a theme. The theme for this Saturday is SHOES.

I am not fond of buying shoes. I do not get shoes just because the design is good, or just because I have extra money to spend for myself (which is rare, by the way, lol ). When I do buy a pair, I make sure that I get something that is comfortable and durable like this one below:

This is the sole of my favorite pair: my light brown Hush Puppies, one of the brands I get when buying shoes. Have been to many places and have walked so many steps.

This is a student’s pair of shoes. What kind of music do you think he likes? If you said “hip hop” then you are right.

\

Shoes off, everyone, before you go inside the tent.

I would rather go shoe less or barefoot like the Incredible Hulk up there than wear something like that below:

No way I am going to wear that and trip and hurt myself. Good thing it is just a wee bit of decorative thing and not meant for real feet ;)

Have a great weekend y’all and don’t go running to the nearest mall to get yourself a new pair :D

Wow,…. I like the second shoes,… very colorful,….. but don’t think the last shoe would ever be worn by me,… I’d break my neck too! Great post. Have a wonderful memorial weekend.

Hush puppies shoes are comfortable. I like them too but it’s a bit too expensive for me.

That last pair I would never ever buy to walk on, maybe as a decoration perhaps :) Haha.

Shoeless is best but with temperatures here that’s not comfortable most times. But I am glad it’s Spring because this time of year there are loads of lovely shoes to buy. In Winter I just wear boots and by the end of Winter I am always really fathup with them!

Hushpuppies are great but I prefer the Wolky’s!

Thanks for your kind comment on my travel photo’s.

I can’t wear any type of shoes. I have only one pair of walking shoes. :(

My favorite shoes is “no shoes”, like the Hulk! Hahaha!

24 May, 2008 @ 7:03 pm

My sentiments exactly! Comfort over style is my philosophy. Of course, I think the years I worked in nursing has a lot to do with that. We are barefooted most often here on Pollywog Creek. Thanks for stopping by the creek, Julie! Hope you are having a fabulous weekend. (((Hugs)))

Hi Julie, I commented last night but have added something to my comments for Memorial Day:

Dear Lord, lest I continue in my complacent ways, help me to remember that someone died for me today. And if there be war, help me to remember to ask and to answer “am I worth dying for?”~

Great sequence of shoes for the theme. To answer your question on my blog, I have my shoes crammed in all the closets in my house which is why I needed to organize them to see what I had and what to give away.

I used to have a favorite pair of Hush Puppies but for some reason, they became too tight after I gave birth. They weren’t as comfortable as they used to be so I don’t wear them anymore.
