Traveling through SCTEx or the Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway was a breeze. Sure one has to pay some extra to be able to pass through this but I thoroughly enjoyed the trip. The highways are paved well. The peace and quiet is just right for me. Though of course, this is not THE place to have engine trouble.

Lush country side with trees and a house here and there but mostly none. Near Bataan, nearing Subic, more houses can be seen.

Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway

I have a feeling we are going to be acquainted with this expressway more in the future. Goodbye traffic at Olongapo-Gapan Road. No more tricycles on the highway.

Here is a more detailed description of the trip.

Yes it is, next time you go to SBMA, you can go through this expressway. This was a road that can be seen where we went to see the Hot Air Balloon Festival.

libre pa din ba toll fee up to now? oh well, kahit may bayad na, worth it naman.

Hey, this is great news! So how many hours nalang from Manila to Subic?

My kids love Subic.

Feng, the toll fee from the Clark entrance from NLEX is PhP112. The stretch is farther too. Going to and from Zambales, we have to shell out PhP500 (which is two or three bags of chocolates na, hehe) pero, sige na din, at least, hindi nakakainit ng ulo sa mga pasaway sa daan :D

Cookie, toll fee is PhP112 times two. Plus extra gas since its a bit farther than the usual route. Pero at least, walang sakit sa ulo na mga pasaway :D

Chateau, not so good news, the trip is a little longer, more expensive and needs more gas.Mga extra PhP500 using SCTEx, ilang bags din ng chocolates sa SBMA yun, hehehe. But then, if this means not having to deal with pasaways on the road,ok na din, di ba?
