Mitch tagged me last year (what?!) to write about 8 Things.

GBex tagged me two months ago about doing Crazy 8s Meme.

Since both more or less have the same contents, I decided to put these together to save me another task of doping a meme. Here are the eight things which I have to write something about:

~o0o~

8 things I’m passionate about:

  1. my family
  2. the values which I believe in
  3. my work
  4. the children I work with
  5. peace and quiet in the home front
  6. my opinions but I am open to listen to other’s opinions
  7. the environment
  8. fair play

8 things I say often:

  1. Wow!
  2. Good job!
  3. Very good!
  4. Wonderful.
  5. Grabe! (Don’t know what this is in English, something like Over!)
  6. Oh my gosh!
  7. Bahala sila (Its up to them)
  8. Fine.

8 books I’ve read recently:

  1. The Simple Truth by David Baldacci (second reading)
  2. Nighttime is my Time by Mary Higgins Clark(second reading)
  3. Twilight by Stephenie Meyer
  4. The Unbearable Lightness of Being by Milan Kundera
  5. The New York Trilogy by Paul Auster (currently reading)
  6. New books lined up for reading:
    1. The Commander by Patrick A. Davis
    2. The Wanderer by Sharon Creech

8 things to do before I die:

  1. Make sure that the children learn values that will make them responsible citizens
  2. Write my own book
  3. Learn to swim so that I will not die drowning :)
  4. learn to ride a bike
  5. Learn to use jump rope
  6. Travel to places not frequented by many people (please see below)
  7. Visit Baja and/or Death Valley and/or Singing Sand Dunes of Morocco
  8. Overcome my being unable to sustain the life of flowering plants :)

8 songs I could listen to over and over again:

  1. Amazing Grace
  2. In the Name of the Lord
  3. Classical music (right, these are not songs, I know)
  4. New Wave songs would make up for the rest :)

8 things that attract me to my friends:

  1. My sense of humor
  2. My candid remarks
  3. My laughter
  4. My being able to “read” their minds
  5. can’t add more to this…

8 things I learned in the last year:

  1. Never say your thoughts too loud :)
  2. Control the temper, still learning to do this.
  3. You can never please people that much, no matter how hard you work.
  4. Do not expect people to appreciate your hard work because you would be disappointed.
  5. Small details are not to be ignored.
  6. A little patience goes a long way.
  7. Looks can “kill”
  8. Blogging is cool but can be too much work.

8 people I am excited to tag:

  1. Rebecca
  2. MaryT/The Teach
  3. Juliana
  4. Bing
  5. Munchkin Mommy
  6. Larawannabe
  7. Kiky
  8. Kat

My apologies if you have already done the meme.

~o0o~

I spent a lot of time doing this, I hope you won’t find it as difficult as I did. Just have fun :) Yes, I found the meme difficult not just because I am up to my neck in tags but also I had to do some self-examination here.

Hi Julie. Thanks for the tag. And Congratulations too on the You Cheer Me Up award given by Napaboaniya. I have to admit I think I’ll have a lot of thinking to do with this tag. I hope you’ll bear with me if I can’t post this right away. Have a great weekend!
