Caning as you know is part of the armamentarium of their penal code. According to him, "that is the price we Singaporeans pay for progress." I thought about it in the context of my own family and decided that maybe it's not too bad to be "backward" after all. <ul> <li>For all its worth, IMHO, there are some who needs a little bit or maybe some of these to knock up some sense into them :D  I think having this as a ground to tell the authorities as an abuse by the parents is one excuse to have what the child(ren) wants that the parents refuses.
