Red ants? Ooouch!!! When I was young I often got biten by red ants from the mango tree I climbed. They’re small but their bite is definately not ’small’ in pain. LOL
Nice picture Julie!

  • These are bigger than the ordinary “house ants”. I used to climb trees to when I was younger but I make sure there were no ants there :D

What a marvelous shot, julie! How do you get so close? I love it! Happy WS!

  • Thanks! These are slightly bigger ants than the usual, Mary. I used macro mode, cropped the photo and zoomed the cropped part before I posted. Oh, I also just use smaller number of pixels for easier loading/viewing.

  • So true, Dine. I thought at first they were fighting but these two ants were mostly stationary doing whatever it is that they are doing :)

  • Ewan ko ba, Sasha, re the ants, I have a lot of photos of these bugs, gusto ko yung tumatayo ang lower body part nila like they are challenging me whenever I go to where they are walking :D

Ewww. I don’t like ants. They hurt when they bite. I actually don’t think that is a shot of “love” though. But its a great close up.

  • Don’t like them much too, Caroline but somehow i just love seeing them work, so hardworking, so organized and I think people can learn a lot from them ;) Thanks!

Nice Shot. Ganda tingnan ng photo. But unfortunately kinikilabutan ako pag nanakita ako ng maraming ants.

  • Me too, kinikilabutan when I see them but I just love watching them walk or rather march, so much to learn from these small creatures being so hardworking and organized. Thanks :)
