Every Saturday, participants post photos based on a theme. The theme for the first January 5, the first Saturday of 2008 is DELICIOUS.

Delicious could mean a lot of things, not just food. Here is the Philippines, when people are having fun, they say: “Ang Sarap!” which literary means “It’s delicious!” Kinda weird huh? Whenever I say that, my daughter Trixie would ask me, “What’s the taste?” Grrr…

Anyway, here are photos of food taken from different places and occasions, brought together for a virtual gastronomic experience:

img_8859b.jpg

Crisp, freshly picked organic vegetables

img_8860b.jpg

Medium-cooked steak, buttered corn, marble potatoes and pasta.

picture-042b.jpg

Yummy sweet individual-size chocolate mousse for dessert.

Food, no matter how simple or grand, taste best when shared with people that matter most:

My children and a cousin enjoying their delicious Christmas lunch together in my in-laws’ house. Can’t really remember what they had but there is a pasta dish there.

Here are some photos of my children enjoying delicious food.

Here is my other Photo Hunt entry.

You chose healthier fare than I did! You’re so right about food being best shared with special people.

All the food you describe look GREAT. I especially loove the mousse!

  • I still have to write a post about our meet-up, Lynn. And we had a wonderful time together not just because the food was yummy but because we all had fun. The veggies, do not be deceived, I found out that the unique taste of the dressing was made with bacon. Aray! Talk about healthy eating! :)

OMG! Gusto kong dukutin dito sa monitor ko ang mga food! Nakakagutom.. hehehe.

The first one is so healthy. Sana ma-inspire na talaga ako ngayon na maging healthy eater. :)

  • Rhoda, it isn’t as healthy as you think it is. The dressing was made with cream, bacon and butter. Ugh! Though the vegetables are yummy, malutong at matamis. Ay, the tomato was so big, medyo dulo na yan but it was almost as big as the saucer. I wonder where they got that from. :)
