Every Saturday, participants post photos based on a theme. The theme for this Saturday that comes before Christmas Day 2007 is LIGHT.
Light can be interpreted in so many ways. I thought about showing Christmas lights as appropriate for this season. All these photos were taken last December 19, 2007 when the center I work for had its Christmas Celebration/Party/Dinner at the house manse of the Center’s directress/owner in a posh, guarded, and gated subdivision.
I passed the time taking some photos while waiting for the others to arrive so that we could go to the manse together.
Lights, lights, everywhere greeted us as we entered the foyer of their house. These are candlelights in a metal basin/bowl on the left side of the foyer.
These are lamps lighted at the right side of the foyer, highlighting some wonderful art pieces which unfortunately my camera was not able to capture.
These are just some of the details in the Christmas tree trinkets that seem to create a thousand mini-lights in their reflections.
The Christmas tree where all those gold trinkets were hanging.
A representation of the Holy Family, a “must” for Catholic homes.
No matter how bright the physical and earthly lights shine around us, the love of Jesus in our hearts and lives are surely brighter than all these.
Let us celebrate Christmas with Jesus in our hearts. After all, He said in John 8:12: “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”
