I rarely cancel my Saturday enrichment students. But for my children, I would cancel these just to be with them for important activities.
Every year, Family Week is celebrated in my daughter Trixie’s school, PWU-JASMSQC which fell on a Saturday this year. They have dance performances for every class in the morning as well as Musical performances in the afternoon. This is a pre-Christmas celebration with bazaars selling wonderful items in the school grounds.
We came early…
to be able to watch this. That’s Trixie, third girl from the front, wearing yellow costume. They made their own costumes prior to the dance. Their dance is called Ati-Atihan which is a very upbeat dance with drums beating fast. This is a religious dance in honor of Sto. Niño or Baby Jesus. We were supposed to go to Julian‘s Home School Provider’s Christmas Party but we did not dare wade through the traffic, afraid we might not make it in time for Trixie’s afternoon Music Hour.
On the way to the parking area to go home.
