Participants post photos based on a theme. The theme for this Saturday, December 15, 2007 is SMALL.

I try to streeeetch my point and shoot camera to its limit by trying to take detailed photos. I love to take photos of things that are small. Small things that when compared to the grand scale of things seem too insignificant. But as a song goes,

Yes, all things bright and beautiful,
All creatures great and small,
And all things wise and wonderful,
The Lord God made them all.

This fly is rather big when compared to the common house fly, or to the black ant in the background.

Nope, not the black ant above but another black ant in a different place.

I think I have reached the limit of my point and shoot cam with this photo and this is the best shot I got with Mr. Spider.

I love flowers, whether I can identify these or not. I specially love small flowers because these are so detailed and not so much appreciated.

img_9032b.jpg

I have about two dozens or so of this little bloom which I can’t identify. I didn’t want to look for these in the files so I figured another shot or two won’t hurt.

And this is one of my favorite flower photos with butterfly eggs on the petals which I also featured in this blog exactly a year ago today. See, I didn’t even know how to put a watermark nor crop photos then. Click here to see the bud.

I posted really early. I will visit PH participants on most probably Sunday (here in the Philippines GMT +8). No teaching schedules today, we are off to watch Trixie and her class for their morning performance for the school’s Family Day. I don’t know if we can manage to squeeze time to attend Julian’s Homeschool Provider’s Christmas Party and still have time for another yet of Trixie’s performance for the Music Hour at 1pm. Traffic is really bad these days in Mega Manila.

Have a great weekend everyone :)

Hi teacher julie,
It is believe that crane is a mystical creature in chinese myth. The crane serve as messenger between human and God in heaven. When someone is sick, we often make a lot of those paper crane writing on each of it wishing the sick person to recover quickly, hoping that these crane will bring our wishes to God. I’m not sure about the pineapple though, but pineapple is often a symbol of wealth. We made those pineapple using gold paper especially during chinese festives, it is believe that it will welcome wealth to the house.

Thanks for dropping by this week. have a nice day~
