As mothers, we all are very familiar with mess. In lighter “offenses” we deal with messy hands and messy faces. In heavier “offenses” we deal with messy bedrooms and a messy house.
I will start with a messy face:

Tania during her second birthday celebration. I guess I am “lucky” in a way that my children are somewhat clean, judging by the rolls of tissue we consume in this household.

A messy/cluttered living room when we cleaned the library and got rid of the unnecessary and outdated things there, a month ago. These were moved back to the library a few days after the photo was taken.

Messy leaves in the yard. We have several trees outside and the leaves fall down every year from October-December. These feel like we have Fall Season but the mess it makes is so expensive. How so? We have someone coming over to clean every week and it costs some money to pay her services. This photo was taken when we left the house for some R&R and we left the mess in the living room in the above photo.

If there is one thing that makes mess which is very much welcome to my children, it would be this:

Our house is a little messy but we have come to live with this mess, having no maids to pick up after us. We try to clean up after ourselves and we have learned not to rely on anybody to do these tasks for us (except the yard work which I really don’t fancy much). This is not easy but we are learning everyday.

kids will not be kids if they dont have a messy face once in awhile…

one reason why i prefer to live in a condo townhouse instead of a single detached is because with a condo someone is in charge of raking the leaves and shoveling the snow. i hate yard work.

thank for visiting my blog.

  • Messy face = kids. I don’t like yard work too, good thing we don’t have snow here or else we would probably be stuck :D

I hear your kids. I wouldn’t mind the mess too from munching all those chocolates. Gotta control though. Diet, diet. :)

  • I have this chant repeating in my mind: “A minute on your lips, a lifetime on your hips”. But sometimes, hmph! :D

This reminded me I need to check on my books and clean the box again :)

Have a safe and productive week ahead, teacher Julie!

  • I want to give away some of the books but I have a hard time doing that since I collect by authors, not randomly. Take care, Sasha :)

I guess kids must come with messy. It’s not always a bad, but always extra work for the Mommys (or for the lucky ones, helper)

You have a beautiful daughter!

  • Ahh..we don’t have a helper and we are fine naman but we can’t go out of town since there’s no one to stay in the house.  Mess is something we have to live with and I always find having tissue rolls around the house helpful. We also buy those disposable rags. Re Tania, thanks :)

personally, the huge effort to keep a big yard clean is worth it. im sure your kids have had plenty of fun in that big yard. gusto ko yan!

ang ganda ngmata ni tania!

  • Hay, Cess, that is PhP300/week, especially now that our trees are shedding, I mean the leaves are falling like Autumn. The kids don’t play there, they just don’t, I don’t know why. When we are just in the house, kahit 2 days pa, up to the door lang sila. Don’t know why. Re Tania, thanks :)

Lovely girl you have there! Those eyes will captivate a lot of hearts someday.

Messy house? Its my toddler’s job for now. Time passes by so fast anyway, its like it was only yesterday when it was my 5 year old son who turns the house in side out.

At least there’s an excuse for toys all around.

  • Re Tania, thanks :) Hay, we have come to live with the mess. Incidentally, I cleaned up today since I didn’t go to work and the kids were happy to see toys that they haven’t seen for some time :)

super cute ni Tanya, kahit messy yung face nya.
ang dami nyong books sa library. :)

  • Thanks, Feng. The books, actually, that is just half of what we have. If I haven’t got hooked with blogging, there would be more. To think I have read some twice, even thrice :D

  • Thanks, Cookie, and if she would only grow. She is very petite, maliit talaga. The chocolate fountain, ako din! No second thoughts, bahala na ang balakang ko, hehehe!

Mess? Are we talking about mess here? let me show you mess some time. I am an expert on mess.

Cutie pie, your Tanya.

  • I did some tidying up today because I didn’t go to work, hubby has out of town meeting. The kids are ecstatic they were able to find some toys that were forgotten already. Tania is the one who leaves toys here and there, much to the dismay of the two older ones. She is not cute when she does that :D
