Every Saturday, participants post photos based on a theme. This Saturday, the first day of December 2007, the theme is RED.

For me the color red symbolizes a lot of things: love, happiness, positivity and Christmas! My photo entries depict Christmas in RED splendor!

I can tell that this theme (red) is going to amp me up to decorate this week!! :D Great shots.

  • Those Christmas home decors were photos from last year. We haven’t started decorating yet and the children are already bugging me to, lol! I told them to help me set it up this week :)

I love your choices. Red can really bring cheer around us. I long to go back to Serendra soon. I miss the donuts and cupcakes. :)

  • Ipanema, not too much decors on the houses yet, signs of the hard times, I think. But we try to be happy, after all, Christmas is not just about these things we see around us. Are you coming for the holidays?

Very lovely, Julie, I especially like the first one - the wreath hanging from the long red bow. Hope your weekend is perfectly delightful.

  • Ahh, that one. There were several of them hanging from the beams. When my daughter asked me how these were out there, I was able to answer her how but just told her that those who are in charge already know how. Have a great week, Patricia. I may be tagging you again, hope its ok. I will email you when I am ready to post my draft  :)

Lovely pictures, from last year I gather from what you have been saying. I love poinsettias, the bright red ones, though I always wonder why they are so much associated with Christmas.

  • The third, fourth and fifth  photos were from last year. The poinsettias are wonderful. Hootin’ Anni wrote an interesting article about these plants as associated with Christmas. Thanks A  :)

red is definitely the color of the season. though others experiment on other color motifs I still prefer the traditional red and green.

  • I agree with you on the red and green. I do not really dig the new color scheme since I may have to change decorations once these are not hot anymore. Wasted money :D
