Every Saturday, participants post photos based on a theme. For the Saturday, November 17, 2007, the theme is I LOVE…

This is a difficult theme for me because there are so many things that I love! Anyway, my theme within the theme is about the five senses: seeing, hearing, smelling, touching and tasting.

Here are my entries:

img_5615b.jpg

I love colors and I love flowers. I especially love looking at sunflowers. Their color is so alive, so vibrant and so powerful. These sunflowers are mighty “proud” too, standing tall to face the sun’s warmth. Those who frequently visit my blog know I can’t grow flower plants so I am just satisfied with taking photos :D

I love listening to the birds, chirping merrily. I love listening to the rustle of leaves when a soft wind blows. I love listening to a bubbling brook or to rushing waterfalls. I love listening to silence, especially at the end of the day. Pardon the wires.

I love the smell of fresh air
, freshly cut grass, good food and fragrant flowers though these make me allergic.

img_7798b.jpg

I love the touch of my children’s hands in my hands. I love the touch of the warm sun and the feel of sand beneath my feet. I also love the silky feel of flower petals.

img_5847b.jpg

I love the different tastes in food: sweet, sour, (a little) salty and (mild) spicy tastes. But I believe that the food that I love taste better when shared with my loved ones. Not our dining table, I took that photo along with many others in a trade and products fair we went to and posted some here and here.

Have Saturday work from 7am – 4pm. Will be visiting your photos later. Have a great weekend everyone! Toodles! :)

This is very creative of you, Julie :)
How come I didn’t think of it this way??

  • Thanks, Pelf. Re Photo Hunt, I try to have a theme within the theme that’s why I am able to come up with several photos each Saturday. And I take a lot of photo everywhere we go :D

Terrific entries for this week’s theme! I especially love the beach scene that you chose to include. Happy photo hunting!

  • Thanks, Sue. It was my first time to go to that beach. When going to my parents’ house, we always pass the highway where there is a small off-road going there. Am I glad we took that detour and saw that beautiful place. They even take care of tortoise eggs to be released to the sea when these hatch :)

You selected some awesome pictures for your 5 senses. You really have an eye for all things beautiful! hehe….

When I was in Tagatay, I was amazed by the lovely blooms. My Manila friend bought many flowers for her garden, I bought some too but they died on me. I have no green fingers too. So sad.

  • ECL, perhaps we need to have those gardening lessons together, hehehe!

Kay ganda ng flowers .. but are those sunflowers? Half opened ones. No, I don’t think so. Marami petals ang sunflowers di ba? Unqiue ang shot .. artsy! Galing ng table setting. It is so inviting. Is that your buffet/dinner table?

  • Just wanted to give details of the sunflowers, Annamanila, didn’t  mean to confuse you. The dinner table was a part of the One Town,One Product fair we went to last August in SM Megamall :)

That is a lovely post!. A beautiful way to approach the subject because, yes, there are so many things to love. Great photos!

  • Thanks, A. Yes, I agree, even if there are so many things to love and this shows our hearts’ capacity to appreciate things we see around us :)

WOW, Julie, daig mo pa ang professional photographer! Galing-galing at ganda-ganda!!!
I truly enjoyed your post.

  • Tita Princess, thanks a lot. Your compliment made me happy. Aspiring lang po, este trying hard. Even the children has caught the “bug” of asking me to take photos of interesting things. If only I can get them their own camera too but that would not be cheap so wag muna.

Very beautiful collection of lovely things… love the sunset (never mind the wires!!) but the beach is the best. Wonderful! :)

  • Sabine, yes, I love the beach too, warm sand and warm sun. I could go for that now since some parts of our country are experiencing a super typhoon (today is November 23 already)  and this will be here where we are around tomorrow.

Hi Julie, very very nice choice of pics. I love the flowers, the beach, the food in the table (is that a bagoong?),hay i can almost smell the newly cut grass and the fresh air.

  • Yes, Wenchie, that is a bagoong. How about we go to MOA for the trade fair or handicrafts exhibit this weekend? I think there are several countries participating. It runs from Thursday to Sunday :)
