The Motorcycle Philippines Grand Eyeball will be happening on November 18, 2007 at the Silver City Auto Mall in Pasig. This is behind the Tiendesitas. There would be lots of activities in this event, including freebies to the first 300 riders, a motorcade, exhibits, raffles, musical groups who will perform in stage plus a lot more.

One of the highlights of this event would be the Toy Run for UNICEF (United Children’s International Emergency Fund). The TOY RUN will consist of putting together toys collected to be given away to children. To those PMN members who live nearby (Quezon City area), your toys are welcome. Please leave a comment if you can give some that you can spare and we will try to make rounds on Saturday afternoon to collect these, if we have enough time because my teaching schedule is usually 7am – 4pm. I saw this announcement just now, my apologies.

Here are some of the photos we had during one of the MAP Toy Runs (or was it the only one yet, not sure) we went to last November 2005. Meeting place was at The Fort Global City in Taguig, Metro Manila. The giving of toys happened at Enchanted Kingdom, a magical place for kids and adults as well.

One of the participants who had the children ride on the back of their motorcycles as they make rounds on the parking ground of the Enchanted Kingdom where the children were later treated for a magical day. This was also overseen by the UNICEF people.

Some of the participants (sorry guys, had to blur your faces) in the MAP Toy Run 2005 with Frank Woolf (in Santa outfit), the founder of Motorcycle Philippines’ website. There is Merlin, Enchanted Kingdom’s official mascot.

Our family’s official ride for five years since hubby and I got married was a motorcycle.

Motorcycle riders must be responsible enough to abide by motorbiking rules such as wearing helmets.

Ang gandang mga motorbike nyan. I’m sure they are expensive. :)

  • One problem with riders, Rhoda, they get hooked with putting too much details on their motorbikes but not give much attention to safety. Hubby is a rider too, with a group consisting of professionals. Even if they have their safety gears on when they go for their rides, I still can not calm myself until he is home safely. It is not him that I am worried about, its the other motorists on the road who are pasaway that most often causes accidents with others. The big bike in the second photo? I think he is from Zambales since we saw that bike there twice already. Thanks Rhoda :)
