Two, three weeks ago, my daughter Trixie asked us if she could have some songs downloaded in her newly bought MP3 gadget which she got last September (she asked for this like a year and a half ago?) I know, talk about teaching patience and very, very delayed gratification huh? :D

Anyway, the price for 25 songs was PhP100, she chose the songs she likes. This seemed easier than downloading these songs since these are filed already and one just have to choose the titles one likes. Being there, I asked if I can have some songs for me too after she has had her pick. She said, yeah sure. And pick I did. I got several songs from Alanis Morissette, Stacie Orrico, Vanessa Carlton, Alan Parson Project, and my current favorite Five for Fighting. Listening to these songs makes me relax and I am listening to one right now.

But I was surprised to hear an unfamiliar song. The title, I Googled, but it came out different, totally different. Listening to the lyrics, I encoded: i am a flower quickly fading. And I got to the song’s lyrics. Well, surprise, surprise! It is a Christian song from a group called Casting Crowns. I haven’t listened to these kinds of songs for a while, and I was really surprised with this song accidentally included in my choices. I showed the lyrics to hubby just now and this is what he said: “Maybe there is a message in that song for you.” Yeah, maybe there is.

Who am I, that the Lord of all the earth
Would care to know my name
Would care to feel my hurt
Who am I, that the Bright and Morning Star
Would choose to light the way
For my ever wandering heart

Galing ng lyrics. Reminds us to count our blessings.

  • Yes. Some of the lyrics really touch the heart and I am thankful that this song got “accidentally” included in my list of songs. :)
