i wouldn’t trade my sahm/wahm status for anything. the other day nga, i came home from a meeting and i told gaby that i might have to go to office na, just like papa. sagot ba naman sa akin, “mama’s only go to meetings not to the office. you stay with us lang and use the computer, ok!” haay, nakakataba ng puso

Sarap no? Trixie told me that one time too, she misses having me there when she gets home from school. If I know, ayaw lang niya to cook her own rice and ulam and eat dinner ahead of us. She has a point, of course. But she doesn’t want naman to have a house help at the same time.

oo naman, misconception talaga yan, but id rather not defend. basta we do what we do with dignity, and whatever choices we make, we, our families and the Lord are happy. o diba?

That’s right Cess. When I was still WAHM, I used to crave working with other people because I wanted to have productive conversations other than that that I get with my children and students, and their parents too. But now, the children are happier to be at home than when we are outside (kasama ko kasi sila sa work) so I am beginning to assess my situation. One time Tania said, “Hay, ang sarap dito sa bahay!”

Tita Princess, I miss being like this, working only part-time.I get to do house chores that need to be done (Oh, that list is endless) and still have some financial rewards. We have been without house help for a longtime and my eldest daughter doesn’t like the idea of getting one. Ayun, she helps me when there are things needed to be done. Thanks po

I am a WAHM … everyone thinks its great…but sometimes it isn’t…and I never talk on the phone. I only wish I had time to watch TV!

Taylor, yup, you are a WAHM. I saw your schedule, you seem to have a hundred more tasks to do than the average corporate slave mom How do you do everything that needs to be done? Do you still have time for yourself? That in itself is much to be admired!
