Belated Happy Birthday to my dear friend, Menchit. Trixie just told me just now that your birthday is November 8, just as I was starting this post Sunday afternoon. Told her, “how do you know?” She said, “Friendster.”
Okay, I know, I haven’t been as updated as I have been in sending emails, and I have nothing to blame except myself, blogging and all that stuff. But then I don’t have a Friendster account (which most of you guys have) and my old PDA had an untimely demise with my files in it, including, guess what, birthdates!

Yup, our friendship started slowly, like a flower bud developing to be a perfect flower. Oh, I still remember those days we used to ride the jeep with Cecile from MWSS going to TS. We also watched a lot of movies and yes, of course, with Tom Cruise in it. We were able to nurture this friendship that has endured pains and joys, gains and losses, triumphs and failures. We have shared so many thoughts and laughters, learned so many valuable lessons from each other and we have been able to withstand the test of time and distance.

We may not be able to have those time we used to spend together, having lunch at the SHS cafeteria, going to the mall just because, eating out a mountain of salad with Pearl and Nette. Through it all, we have you in heart and you are a part of our family not just because you are Trixie’s godmother but because you are loved. Nothing is going to change that.

My apologies, I have used these photos before.

Hi Julie!
I had time to check out your surprise just now because it was report card time this week. I got my report card drafts in yesterday before the Friday deadline. Whew! was that stressful! Yesterday I had time to get home earlier than usual and to sleep earlier than usual (8 p.m. boy, was I exhausted!) so I feel a lot rested today.
Wow, my best friend an accomplished writer! I always knew you had it in you!
Just have to find time to read it all! I admit I haven’t kept up with my emails and your website. But I like what I see! Congratulations! It is such a useful and delightful website!
do me a favor and tell Trixie, thanks for remembering my birthday!
I agree with everything you’ve said! I remember the days when it was just a relaxed time working and studying. I enjoy those memories, too! It was not a complicated or busy life back then. What a big difference! But we also had the friendship to keep it fun!
I remember you were the person who encouraged me to move to SDLC, and another move – to apply abroad! Yes, you were an instrument to where I am today! thanks my friend!
I thank God for leading me to you! You are such a blessing to me.
I look forward to seeing you and your family again soon!
May God continue to bless your family!
Mench
