Every Saturday, members post photos based on a theme. For this Saturday, November 10, 2007, the theme is FLEXIBLE.

Flexible for me means something that can be used to adapt to different settings, depending upon the need. I had some difficulty coming up with a series of photos, well even a photo was quite hard to find among my files. I did come up with this however, photos of food, inspired from a photo meme with the theme of plated (on a plate) of PinoyMomsNetwork where I am a contributor of sorts.

Here are photos of food that are flexible, meaning these can be used (and made) in a variety of ways and means or things that are capable of modification:

Eggs are versatile food and can be cooked in many ways which I shall not write down so that you are left to think about what these are. But then again, here are some ways.

img_8214b.jpg

Oyster sauce is a must in our kitchen, very useful to different kinds of dishes.

img_8202b.jpg

Fudge bars or chocolate brownies, so many ways to make this one. I admit, I have yet to try how to do this. I like it with caramel. How about you?

img_8208b.jpg

Take a sip if you need to, on the flexible straw if you are getting thirsty. That’s not a diet soda drink though so be careful!

img_8219b.jpg

Bee pollen, said to be one of the world’s richest and purest natural food ever discovered. Take it before breakfast as energy-booster. What about weight loss? So many health benefits!

I will be visiting your photos later. I have Saturday 8am to 4pm schedule of students. Toodles for now. :)

Food. yes indeed very flexible. Many ways of consuming, many ways of preparing and eating. Very creative for this week theme. Have a nice day teacherjulie. Have fun with the kids!

  • LP, thanks. I love what you wrote: “many ways of consuming, many ways of preparing and eating” I think I love the consuming part, judging by my waistline :D

Fantastic entry!

You’re so right about the egg.

  • We never ran out of eggs in this house, good for emergency purposes, like sandwich filler for midnight snack maybe :D

Great choices. Never thought of oyster sauce as flexible though. :)

  • Oyster sauce is more flavorful than soy sauce, which is always a part of Filipino cooking. Great for grilling too, I use this with Hickory BBQ sauce, yum! :)

Oh, my, that chocolate photo has me almost drooling!! Trues, eggs are among the most versatile foods. I’m not fond of oyster sauce, though. :)

  • Barbara, ah, the brownies, very yummy, right? The eggs are too, we make sure we never ran out of eggs, good as sandwich filler for midnight snacks, ouch! Oyster sauce is flavorful, I just use the less sodium. My daughter likes this on her steak, along with Hickory BBQ sauce :)
