Every Saturday, members post photos based on a theme. The theme for this Saturday, October 27, 2007 is PINK.

Pink is a cool color. Though some would not agree with me, I think pink, particularly the shade of baby pink, is soothing and has a calming effect on me. I do not know if this was an effect of an article and a video I was able to watch eons ago about children misbehaving and being out in pink rooms to calm themselves.

Anyway, since pink in nature is abundant, I looked through my flower photos and selected different shades of pink flowers for everyone to enjoy. I can’t identify these flowers so those who can, please, tell me what these are. Here are just a few of my pink flower photos:

One of the many pink flowers as a part of of the floral arrangement of a wedding where my daughter Tania was a flower girl.

Pink flowers taken when we went to Tagaytay, a city on top of a mountain with a view of a lake volcano, after the wedding mentioned above. I have some flower photos taken there. There are also other color varieties of this plant: red, fuschia and white.

A tree with flowers which we saw in one one of our favorite Sunday road trips destination.

Pink calachuchi flowers planted in front of my MIL’s house.

Pink flower I managed to take a photo of when we went to the zoo last month.

A pink flower on my desktop when I did the Desktop Free View Meme.

Have a wonderful weekend everyone! :)

You take gorgeous photos of flowers and chose wonderful ones. Sorry, but I don’t know the names of any of them!

  • Thanks for the nice comments, Andree. Re flower names, it is ok. These might be some flower varieties from a tropical country such as ours, LOL.

The first looks to be a type of Mum, the second a , well I can no longer remember, I knew –we have them out front but I forget. The others I recognize but since my flower book has gone missing I can’t remember.

Beautiful photos regardless.

  • Yes, Heather, I think, the first was some kind of a Mum, Malaysian mum if there is one. Hope you would be able to find your flower book. And thank you for the wonderful idea of me getting a flower book. Hmmm… Thanks :)

I love the colour pink - from baby pink to shocking pink. hehe…. Tagaytay is a lovely place to visit. I was there twice when I went to Manila a couple of years back.

Hi Teacher Julie!!!

I only recognize the second pix, which is a couple of periwinkles. Apparently, the pink ones helps battle cancerous cells! hee hee..

  • So, periwinkles. Wow. Thanks. :) When I made that post Mott, I have completely forgotten about the Breast Awareness Month which was also being celebrated for October.

Hello Julie! How are you?

I love the shot where the sky is the background.

  • I’m fine, Lynn. And you? Happy for the short but much awaited sem-break? That tree with the pink flowers is an enigma to me. I think that is the same tree which I got in my PMN Go Green photo entry. Thanks for the visit :)

Those are all beautiful pink flowers. :) Lovely photos! My favourite one is the flower with the drops of water on it. :)

  • That flower was taken after a brief rain shower after which the fog descended on the place and there was almost nothing to see. Thanks, Dragonheart. :)
