Shelved under Snapshots, Weekend Snapshots

wbs2.jpg

Yesterday, October 21, 2007, we went to Iba, Zambales (204 kilometers at the kilometer post in front of my mother’s small store), where my parents live. We brought the two little ones, Julian and Tania for a two-week vacation. The vacation is for them as much as it is for me too. Thought so, but I miss them already. :(

The day didn’t start great when hubby discovered our water meter was stolen. Ugh! That one has iron grills around it, for goodness sakes. Not a nice way to start a wonderful day. I know the thought about what happened will bug us the whole day. Oh well, at least it happened outside the house and not inside. But still…Sigh.

The day didn’t end well too since Tania got sick and had stomach flu. Mother said she is ok now but of course, we are still worried about her.

Anyway, here are my two Weekend Snapshots which happened in between the morning and afternoon sad happenings:

Wow. I’m dumb. I didn’t know people stole water meters. Looks like this spot was the perfect antidote to that aggravation, though! I hope so. God bless.

  • They can sell these to those without water meter yet. No don’t know why thee are approved, if there are serial numbers registered. Sigh. Thanks, Sandy :)

our water meter ALMOST got stolen a few months ago, too … but it still didn’t have the metal thingy around it (placed there by manila waters, when we complained about our lines leaking) and the metal bars (trying to make sure it wouldn’t be stolen! hahaha).

what a lovely place! a former dormmate lives there …

enjoy your vacation! :)

  • We had this reported to the barangay. Fast action done, you know elections just around the corner. Thanks, Snippets :)

I hope you had fun why do people steal water meters

  • Marcia, these water meters can be sold to those who don’t have theirs yet like houses being constructed. There should be a serial number for registration to match reports any stolen meters. Thanks, :)

Nice shots, btw. :)

  • Water meters can be sold, Niceheart.  A new one isn’t cheap either, its around PhpP1,500+. Thanks :)

WOW, dapat pang Wordless Wednesday ang entry na to Julie. Nice shot, I didn’t appreciate our beaches while I was in the Philippines, pero ngayon hinahanap ko na.

Good thing, our water district there have the policy na sa labas ng bahay ilagay ang meter. Grabe naman, kahit water meter ninakaw, paano kaya nila maibinta yun.

  • I don’t know how they can sell it, Raq but it is rather expensive to get a new one, around PhP1,500+ din, I think. Very nice to spend a day or two at the beach, to breathe fresh air. :)

sorry to hear about the meter theft & the bug… hope the bug’s gone

  • Hay, Auee, hubby took photos and made a report to the barangay. Since its election time for these officials next week, we had a faster than lightning response. They said water company would probably give us a new one, without paying since we had precautionary measures done like the steel cage. Bug’s gone. It’s hubby’s turn now. :(

Wow! Love the beach! I was able to really appreciate our tropical beaches after I have experienced the cold beaches here.

I’m sorry to hear about the water meter. My goodness, it’s such a desperate thing to do. They know that you weren’t at home. Sorry to hear about the Stomach Flu, I hope Tania is better now.

  • You know Tina, people would do everything for a quick fix. Kids are fine. Hubby and I were the ones who had the stomachache. But thanks to yellow tea, we were able to eliminate those trapped air inside, :D
