A master teacher is a term usually used in the public school system here in the Philippines, though I could be wrong. For those teaching in private schools, they are called grade level coordinators. But whatever is the term, their functions are basically the same. They are highly trained and highly skilled teachers who work in supervisory and consultative basis. They assist classroom teachers with several issues arising in the classroom like implementation problems regarding the teaching of topics as well as disciplinary measures.
