Every Saturday, members post photos based on a theme. The theme for the first Saturday of this month, October 6, 2007 is CURVY.
CURVY means having curve. There are a lot curves around us, in nature, in our home and in things made by men. For the things that curvy, I concentrated on things that are naturally curvy and of things and places that have been made to curve to follow the natural curve of the terrains. All the photos here are places we visited here in our country, the Philippines.
As I have full-day teaching schedules every Saturday, I hope you get to enjoy these of photos showing something CURVY below:
To the far north, we went to Callao Caves. Callao Caves are said to have seven chambers. Such a wonderful place to visit especially in parts where the sunlight goes through curvy openings.
Swans with curvy bodies and necks at the Fernwood Gardens. One of the ultimate and wonderful garden settings to have a large gathering held in a place where there is a roof to protect guests from sun’s heat and even rains. A place near where we live.
This is Garden Cottages in Tanay, Rizal, a place one and a half hour (with traffic near market places) drive away, eastern part from where we live. It is a housing project nestled between mountains where the air is cool and fresh. Notice how the roads are curvy as these roads followed the contour of the terrains. The homes here were originally offered to several government agencies’ employees but are now open for the non-government employees. Annamanila, you might want to check this out.
These wonderful flowers, including this zinnia, according to Patricia, are planted on the Garden Cottages’ roadside borders. The flower is so refreshing, its petals curvy as if to welcome the sun’s warmth. I can’t describe how deep the residential village is from the road but believe me, it is very far from the main road.
I have posted another version of this photo/place here. But I am facing the direction towards home, not towards the place called Sierra Madre Resort in Marilaque where we would eventually end up.The roads from Garden Cottages leading to Marilaque which is one of our favorite places to visit, are curvy. My hubby who infrequently joins his motorcycle buddies for a ride on these “twisties”, love this particular stretch of the road.
Wouldn’t it be nice to rest in this curvy, egg-shaped hanging seat after a tiring day’s work or play? This is a two and a half to three hours drive away from our home in Metro Manila, a beach-front resort.
