Last Sunday, we went to the Manila Zoo to look at the wild animals in captivity. It was also an opportunity to observe and learn about these animals. I mentioned this at the center where I work and Kat, one of the speech therapists there mentioned that she haven’t seen the tiger because it is always hiding in its cave/den. Well, Kat, fortunately for us, it did come out and even went down the steps from its den and walked for everyone to see. I pushed my point and shoot camera to its limit to get a good photo of this tiger. :) Kat, here is the tiger for you:

Good that it looks healthy. The last tiger I saw in Manila Zoo was super thin, the ribcage was showing. That was in 1996-1997, nakakaawa.

  • I think that was when they were still in steel cages. We didn’t see any lions though. Patay na din ang giraffe.
