Visiting a zoo is a good place for an actual learning for the children.

Btw, looks like the weather is cool there huh?! Is it raining yesterday?

• Yes, the weather was cloudy then we had a downpour while we were at the zoo. Good thing (or not) we were still near the reptiles where there is roof and everyone scrambled under it. Riot! After the rains, it was all fine but not that cool. Except when it rained again when we were near the Manila Bay, Thanks, Raquel.

Teacher Julie, when we went there a couple of months ago, wala ng elephant. Daya! Hehehe… I would love to go back and take my alaga there. I do wish the city of Manila will make some improvements and add more animals

• Sashing, we just went there last Sunday. It was the giraffe that wasn’t there. The Kinder Zoo was gone too. I thought the kids would be able to pet some animals there but then, wala na pala yun.

I love the zoo. When I lived in Indianapolis, Indiana, I took my class there every year for a field trip. (The dolphin show was always a “hit!”) My favorite zoo is in San Diego, California – it’s an amazing place!

• Wow, those must be very fun times with your students. Field trips are fun but sometimes, we have to take a lot of precautionary measures, especially with the younger children, to keep them safe. Thanks, Cheryl

[...] Last Sunday, we went to the Manila Zoo to look at the wild animals in captivity. It was also an opportunity to observe and learn about these animals. I mentioned this at the center where I work and Kat, one of the speech therapists there mentioned that she haven’t seen the tiger because it is always hiding in its cave/den. Well, Kat, fortunately for us, it did come out and even went down the steps from its den and walked for everyone to see.
