What have we been doing to Mother Nature?

People are slowly destroying what is natural, what has been God-given, and what was once beautiful? Would people be able to survive if tons of soil would descend on them when there are heavy rains or earthquake and tremors? Maybe not. What a disrespect for Mother Nature. People get what they want and in return, what they got would be given back to them, with a “vengeance”.

Or maybe yes. Yes, they will survive when there are no more mountains or hills to be washed away by the rains.

Aw. Kalungkot. Pretty soon konting “green” nlng ang matitira sa “Inang Bayan” natin. huhu.

  • So true, Joni, so true. That’s why we always try to have road trips to where the mountains are so we teach our children about respect and appreciation for what Mother Nature has to offer.

A friend’s niyogan was eaten by the river’s changing route, when I asked him what they do for a living now, he said “nagkwa-quarry”.

I wanted to tell him that it wasn’t right, it’s not theirs alone but can I make him stop? He has mouths to feed and if he doesn’t do it, someone else will. Nakakalungkot.

  • “it wasn’t right, it’s not theirs alone” I couldn’t agree with you more. Human survival in the here and now is deemed more important than human survival in the future. But these things that people do, bumabalik, and when that happens, buhay ang kapalit. So sad, to have people perish because of this.
