I came in late. I looked for familiar faces. There are a lot of familiar faces but because sometimes it is hard to distinguish the real names from the blog’s names, it was really a little difficult to recognize or even put together these two. Especially in a room full of hundreds of people. I came in with my daughter Trixie, fresh from her field trip in Maragondon, Cavite. Where did I go last night? Why to SMHypermarket’s Taste Asia Blogger Food Fest part 2.
First I saw was Dine with Alan Jr., being “mobbed” by bloggers. I was able to talk with several blogger near the entrance before I went to find my friends. I apologize for not remembering your names except Raredog whom I met during the first Taste Asia Blogger Food Fest. Should have asked you to sign my attendance sheet which I can not find now. Please give a holler if you were one of them. Please?
Paul, I think you were one of them. ![]()
Since Wenchie replied to my sms that they were on the left side of the venue, to the left side I went. Because the first Taste Asia Blogger Food Fest had two chocolate fountains on the left side of the room, I thought there is another table for that too. Too bad, there wasn’t. But anyway, what I found was sweeter than chocolate: my PinoyMomsNetwork friends:
Cookie aka Kongkong622, Chateau aka i-mom, me, Myrna aka Annamanila, Rowena and Dine.
Here is another one with Noemi at the left side and Wenchie’s sister Rhodora who I believe would be starting her own blog soon.
Annamanila and the children, AlanJr. and my daughter Trixie. Why do I feel my eyes burning by looking at this photo, Annamanila? No, it is not from lack of sleep.
This is my share of the food from the banquet table pictured below. The chicken wrapped in pandan leaves and the baked mussels were okay but we didn’t get sweet-chili sauce for the tempura.
Congratulations Annamanila for winning in the SMHypermarket raffle, I know you are going to win an award for that wonderful shabu-shabu piece that you wrote.
I also saw Ganns who won a DVD from the raffle. Anna aka Firelady with her special someone. I think I saw Tess who was wearing pink, I got you in one of my photos. And Joni, where were you? Mr. Nice Ash was there without Anna Leah who will be giving birth on Saturday. I think I saw Jun too, but very briefly. Karlo, where were you?
Update (Friday pm): Of course, Jon Limjap, how could I have forgotten to mention you when it was I who called your attention because I always see your comments in Connie’s blog? Memory gap, I’m sure.
We also got to talk with Anton aka Our Awesome Planet over bottled water.
To wrap it up, I want to say that the food was good but the company was even better. Till the next big bloggers event!
